THE popular Bridgwater Choral Society has announced its programme for the up-coming season.
Rehearsals are about to start for the choir's 2011/12 season, which will feature two large choral works.
This year's programme will focus on a modern repertoire and its performers will delight with music by Puccini (Messa di Gloria), Faure, Holst and Brahms in December.
Tenor Peter Wilman, who has previously performed in the society's rendition of Mozart's Mass in C Minor and frequently performs with the Welsh National Opera, will perform at the concert.
The main work will be Carmina Burana by Orff in its May 2012 show.
All performances will be under the guidance of leader Iain Cooper and interested performers can attend the society's first rehearsal of the season tomorrow (Wednesday) at St Joseph's Primary School, Bridgwater.
