A DRIVER was trapped in his security van for ten minutes after an automatic safety alarm triggered.

People walking through Bridgwater by Lloyds Bank this morning (May 24) were surprised to hear the van blurt out over and over again: "Help, Help, security vehicle under attack - please call the police!"

But there was no attack, the alarm had been triggered accidentally and the driver was trapped in the vehicle for ten minutes before it shut off.
