FIRE crews tackled a camper van fire on the M5 this evening (August 2).
Two teams, one from Bridgwater and one from Taunton, were sent out at around 4.25pm following a report to the Fire Service Control Room of a camper van on fire at Bridgwater Services, Junction 24.
A fire service spokesman said: "On arrival at the scene crews confirmed one camper van on the highway well alight and got to work with breathing apparatus and a hose reel.
"Approximately 70% of the camper van was damaged by fire, two hose reels and two breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire."
