A BUILDER was praying his car insurance covered ‘acts of dog’ after his pet chewed his £80,000 Aston Martin.
Luce, a four-year-old border collie spaniel cross, waited until her owner had left for work before she started chomping her way through the treasured motor’s wheel arch.
Royston Grimstead, Luce’s owner, said: “When I got back in the evening she’d had a right go at it.” Royston, 42, who lives in Chedzoy, near Bridgwater, has a theory as to why Luce decided to turn against him.
He said: “I advertised to try to rehome her because she does not get on with my other dog.
She must have overheard me because she’s normally friendly and never really chewed on anything before.”
Thankfully Luce has found a new owner and Royston’s car is insured against the damage.
