A CAR caught fire in the middle of a busy Bridgwater road on Friday evening.
Firefighters were called out to Taunton Road at 7.40pm where they found a car had caught fire opposite Londis while travelling out toward the motorway.
On arrival the crew got to work using hose reel jets, a thermal imaging camera and breathing apparatus as they put out the blaze.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "We can confirm the cause of the fire was accidental. The vehicle was moved to a safe location in a layby outside the Londis Shop."
