Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce has launched its Meet the Charity series.

The first event, held on March 12, featured Brainwave.

It is a charity devoted to helping children with disabilities and additional requirements garner more independence.

The Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce believes this new series will not only create awareness of charities’ substantial contributions but also prompt business interactions.

The organisers were enthusiastic about granting charities a platform to exhibit their narratives, missions, and successes.

Brainwave seized this opportunity to explain their family-involving approach.

They apply specialist methods to improve mobility, communication and learning in children with various conditions, such as cerebral palsy and autism.

The charity's commitment to designing customised therapy plans for each child's specific needs was apparent.

The event also saw Brainwave taking the audience on a tour of their facilities and relating triumphant tales of children they have assisted.

A spokesperson for The Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce said: "A huge thank you to the team at Brainwave for their warm welcome and to Westcotts for their sponsorship support and for picking Brainwave as their Charity of the Year.

"We encourage everyone to support Brainwave either by participating in their events or through fundraising efforts."
