A HARDWORKING volunteer was presented with the gleaming Bridgwater Cup in recognition of his 'outstanding' work.
Dr Peter Cattermole was given the prestigious award by Bridgwater Town Council after years of service as vice-chairman of the town's Civic Society and for his role in the successful rebirth of Blake Museum.
The town council also praised Dr Cattermole's work with young people and his passion for Bridgwater's history.
He was presented with the silver Bridgwater Cup by town mayor Ken Richards during a ceremony on Thursday.
