AN accidental car fire was dealt with by fire crews in Puriton this morning.
One engine from Bridgwater was sent to Puriton Hill at 5.49am to reports of a car on fire.
One hose reel jet and breathing apparatus was used, along with smool tools which were needed to remove the dashboard to put out the hotspots.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire caused moderate damage to the vehicle.
"The cause was deemed to be accidental ignition."
