SPORTING Memories are opening a new club in Bridgwater Cricket Club run by Somerset Cricket Foundation.

The new formed Somerset Cricket Foundation Sporting Memories session uses the power of remembering and talking about sport alongside physical activity to support older people aged 50+ to live better lives.

The newly launching Somerset Cricket Foundation club at Bridgwater Cricket Club is looking for both members to come along and enjoy the weekly sessions as well as local people who have the time and interest to volunteer to help run or support the clubs.

t’s a great opportunity for local people from all backgrounds to not only share their stories but to also partake in a weekly session that ignite old memories through photographs and quizzes as well as getting active again with a range of fun games and inclusive exercises.

Without volunteers, Sporting Memories clubs across Great Britain wouldn’t be able to run and all volunteers are provided with training and support to help them deliver engaging sessions for members – even for those who aren’t interested in sport!

The Somerset Cricket Foundation Sporting Memories Club launches on Wednesday 24th April at Bridgwater Cricket Club with free, weekly session running from between 10am – 11.30am thereafter.
