BRIDGWATER United Women captain Ellie Mitchell has said she has enjoyed leading the team this season in the FA Women's National League.
She said: "l have only become captain in the second half of this season and I can say that I'm enjoying every minute of it.
"The role has helped me communicate better and has made me a more confident individual when it comes to football. I love being there to support the team and help them with their needs both on and off the pitch, creating a fun and safe environment for them to thrive in."
This season hasn't been smooth sailing for the team, and Mitchell acknowledged that but said a strong end of the campaign is the goal now.
"This season we have had our ups and downs as a new and young squad but I believe we have persevered and are looking for a strong end to the season.
"It would be great to have as many supporters come to our games as possible as we love the encouragement given to us on a match day."
