THE Bridgwater Railway Club will be holding three four-a-side competitions this summer to raise money for local charities.
The competitions will be open to everyone to take part, with darts on Thursday evenings, pool on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and skittles on Thursday and Friday evenings.
The entry fee is £8 a team, half of which will go to charity.
Helping Hand will benefit from the darts, funds raised by the pool will go towards Somerset Association for the Blind and cash from the skittles will go to Musgrove Leukaemia Group.
There will be forfeits during the games, which will mean a further 10p to charity if you shoot 25 or under in darts, a foul shot in pool and score less than five points in skittles.
Trophies will be given to the winners and any cash left after the administration costs.
There will be a trophy for the ladies and mixed teams that progress the furthest in the darts and skittles.
Each entry will play at least three games in the first rounds and will be split into groups.
Teams will play each other at least once, with the top two going through to the later rounds.
The club is also looking for benefactors who would like to donate a trophy for the events.
Entry forms are available by calling 01278-433285 between 6 and 8pm or are available from the Railway Club.
Entries close on April 30.
