THE Squib had a very good week in the Bridgwater and District Men’s Darts League at the expense of the unfortunate Prince of Wales.
Last Tuesday The Squib beat the Prince 6-3 in the league with the aid of a Matt Prosser 152 away and scores of 160 away and 180 by Shaun Elsley.
It moved them level on points with the Prince at the top of Division One.
Although Prince stay top on legs, Squib have a game in hand.
On Wednesday The Squib beat the Prince again, 5-2, this time to take the seven-a-side team KO title despite Dave Baker hitting his 12th 180 of the season.
Elsewhere in the top division, Hope Inn remain in the mix after a 6-3 defeat of The Jokers with the aid of a Mark Watts 16-dart leg.
Adam Ward replied with a 15-darter, which included a 180.
The Three Lions beat Railway A 6-3, with Patrick Vearncombe scoring a 142 out and Steve Perry a 133 check.
Dave Bendle hit a 152 away as British Flag beat Crown 5-4 despite a Yim Ross 152 away and a Gethin Pye 160 away.
Meanwhile, OVH Wanderers beat Riversiders 7-2.
A 6-3 win for the Buccaneers over White Hart B, combined with a 6-3 defeat for the Railway B against White Hart A, sees the Buccaneers go six points clear at the top of Division Two.
White Hart A are six points adrift of Railway in third spot.
At the other end of the table, No Hopers finally picked up their first points with a 5-4 defeat of Sydenham Centre.
The match included a Fred Hemmings 180 for the Centre and a Garath Needs 144 out for the No Hopers.
There were also wins for The Globetrotters, 6-3 over Blake Arms, Withy Lions, 7-2 against The Spectres, and New Foresters, 6-3 against the Sportsman.
