THE Mercury is giving away two pairs of tickets to a talent-packed variety night at the Blake Hall Social Club in Bridgwater on March 4.

Madonna tribute act Material World, comedians Jim Darch and Ann Shandy plus crooner Ashley Quinn will be filling the hall with entertainment.

Tasha Leaper stars in Material World as Madonna, and covers the queen of pop’s greatest hits and classic looks from across decades of music.

A trained dancer, Tasha boasts both the look and sound of the pop icon as she shows off her great vocal talent.

Quick-witted comedian Jim Darch is known for his sidesplitting observations as delivers each punch line with a sharp left hook.

Darchy’s humour derived from many a cold football dressing room on a Sunday morning, growing up in a large family, making his own family, the ability to see the funny side of every situation and put it into words in an instant.

His 20 years in the industry has seen him perform for the military in the UK and overseas, professional football clubs nationwide, and many corporate engagements.

Ann Shandy started life on stage in operatic and drama societies, but soon found a niche as a cabaret performer at the age of 17.

After doing the circuits for years, Ann Shandy retired – but is now back by popular demand to entertain a laughter-hungry audience.

Completing the line-up will be Bridgwater’s own Ashley Quinn, who will be crooning his way through a set of classic covers.

The event starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 from 07775-803246.
