SIX Moorlinch artists hope to banish the winter blues with art open days next Saturday and Sunday at Spring Farm.

Clio Graham uses poetry to give an extra richness to her pottery. She said: “There is a tradition of using verses on pottery and I am always on the lookout for poems that express my own love of the natural world.”

Helen Jones has the season firmly in mind in her studio, where she will be showing wedding jewellery.

She said: “The fairytale princess look shows no signs of going out of fashion.

“Tiaras are now one of the most popular accessories for brides – and it is a challenge to select the right materials to produce something that is stunning yet complementary.”

The studios and galleries of the other four artists - Susan Gradwell, Nancy Farmer, Jenny Graham and Anne Farmer - will be equally welcoming, with new paintings, prints and etchings.

Spring Farm Arts will be open from 11am to 5pm both days, entry is free. For more information call Anne farmer 01458-210393.
