FRIENDS of the Wembdon Road Cemetery will be holding a ceremony to rededicate the memorial of a famous local man. Colonel Thomas Foster Barham OBE, 1852 – 1927, was a respected solicitor in Victorian and Edwardian Bridgwater, who also served in the Somerset Volunteers and the Territorial Army.
This was a Home Guard service, and he was awarded an OBE in 1924. On July 22 at 10.30am, the ceremony of rededication will be performed in the presence of the Mayor of Bridgwater, Cllr Alex Glassford.
