THE Friends of the Wembdon Road Cemetery group has announced the publication of a new guidebook, A Walk in the Wembdon Road Cemetery.
The guide, which has been funded by Bridgwater Town Council and Sedgemoor District Council, takes the form of a short walk around the cemetery, taking in 18 important or significant memorials and features.
Funds raised from the sale of the booklet will be put towards a future project, a sensory garden for the disabled, which we hope to locate in the ruins of the former Anglican chapel.
The booklet is 30 pages in length and is full colour. It is priced at £2.50 a copy and is available from the Friends’ website, bridgwatercemeteries.org.uk.
