FIRE crews were mobilised to help a motorist in Bridgwater after their van caught fire whilst they were driving it.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 6.41pm on February 7 to Place Drove in Westonzoyland following a call from the owner of a van which was alight.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "A fire appliance from Bridgwater was mobilised following a call from the owner of a van, which had caught fire whilst out driving.
"The owner had pulled over to the side of the road and was out of the vehicle awaiting our arrival at the time of call.
"Shortly after arriving the crew confirmed that the van was well alight and set to work extinguishing it with two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
"Once extinguished and the area made safe, duty of care was left with the owner awaiting recovery.
"The van was completely destroyed by fire."
