HOSPITAL patients were given the chance to enjoy Bridgwater Carnival from the comfort of their wards, thanks to a state-of-the-art donation - videos of the event!
The Bridgwater Carnival Committee donated a number of videos to town hospitals to enable people who could not make it to the 1987 event to still enjoy the festivities and were handed to the Bridgwater Hospitals League of Friends for distribution.
President of the committee, Bill Holland, said: "The videos are always very popular with the patients.
"We have been giving them to the league of friends for a number of years now."
Bridgwater Hospital, Blake Hospital, Oak Trees, Milton House, Sydenham House and Ivy House all received a copy of the film.
Our picture shows the videos being presented by, from left to right, Roger Evans, chairman of the carnival committee, Bill Holland, Betty Dimes, acting chairman of the league of friends and Clifford Searle, president of the league of friends.
