OPENING EVENT: Dignitaries officially open the new carnival shed in Bridgwater
FIVE years of planning and fundraising came to an end in March 2009 with the official opening of Bridgwater Carnival’s new shed in Bristol Road.
The shed was opened by Carnival committee president Doug Robson.
Mark Robson, the committee’s Bristol Road project manager, said: “It has been a massive project which started way back in March 2004, and it’s just so wonderful that our original dream has turned into reality.
“So many people and organisations have helped us along the way, I would like to take this opportunity to thank them."
