BRIDGWATER'S Timewarp Arcade will be closing due to the coronavirus, in a bid to save the business in the long term.
A post on the arcade's Facebook page explained that the current situation with Somerset's coronavirus cases rising and the arcade's guest numbers 'plummeting' was not sustainable.
The arcade will be closing on Sunday, October 4.
Timewarp Arcade will be using the opportunity to sell off some of the older machines, and pack up the good machines to be put into dry storage.
The Timewarp Arcade post on Facebook concludes: "Many of the machines are looking rather worn out and we can spend the next six months or so, getting them fixed up ready again.
"If our current building is still available, we'll return. If not, we'll find somewhere new.
"The only way to save the arcade is to close it, for now."
