A BRIDGWATER motorcycle group has raised thousands of pounds to support St Margaret's Hospice.
On Thursday, September 24, Gill Mogg, director of the Bridgwater Harley Owners Group (HOG) visited St Margaret's Hospice Care to present a cheque for £2,000 to Kara Frampton, the charity's area fundraising manager.
Members of Bridgwater HOG has planned out a full year of fundraising, with St Margaret's Hospice one of the group's chosen charities for 2020.
However due the coronavirus pandemic Bridgwater HOG were unable to carry out their fundraising as planned - but they thought outside the box and promoted a number of virtual fundraising events to support the hospice instead.
Kara Frampton said: "We cannot begin to thank Bridgwater HOG enough.
"Their commitment and support, especially through these difficult times means the world to us.
"Thank you so much to all who contributed to making the virtual fundraising such a success."
St Margaret’s Hospice Care is a Somerset-based charity caring for people with any life-limiting illness, not just cancer.
It costs in excess of £8m per year to run their clinical services.
