A NEW Aldi store has opened in Bridgwater today.
The new 1,140sqm store in Northgate Road opened at 8am this morning (October 1) has replaced the existing store on Eastover.
It is being run by store manager, James Spry, along with a team of 23 staff.
The shop will offer large chillers and freezers dedicated to fresh, British meat products, a ‘Food to Go’ section at the front of the store, a fixture along the back wall showcasing Aldi’s award-winning Beers, Wines and Spirits, and an exclusive section full of Health & Beauty products.
Customers visiting the store can take advantage of Aldi’s famous Specialbuys, which are available every Thursday and Sunday.
During opening week, the store will be offering a wide range of cold weather car care essentials including, Dehumidifier for £3.99, a car windscreen cover for £2.99 and a compact car jack for £11.99.
James Spry, store manager of the new Aldi store, said: “It’s been a wonderful morning here at the opening of Aldi Bridgwater. It was lovely to welcome both familiar faces and new customers into the store and I look forward to meeting more of the community in the coming weeks.
“I’d also like to thank our customers for following the social distancing guidelines we have in place to ensure the health and safety of both our customers and colleagues.”
The new store is located on Northgate, Bridgwater, TA6 3EU and will be open from 8am to 10pm from Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
