CHRISTMAS lights were switched on in Bridgwater town centre this week.
The lights, which were funded by Bridgwater Town Council and Robson's Electrics, were switched on by new Bridgwater Mayor Cllr Leigh Redman and chairman of Sedgemoor District Council Cllr Peter Clayton Friday (November 19).
The Christmas tree is based at The Cornhill in Bridgwater and was sponsored by Secret Valley.
Cllr Leigh Redman, Mayor of Bridgwater, said: "Really good to be able to socially distance and turn on the Bridgwater Christmas lights with Chair of Sedgemoor District Council.
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas."
