FIRE crews tackled a fire at a property in Bridgwater last night (December 8).
A mattress in the bedroom of a property was on fire at 8.32pm.
An ambulance crew also attended the incident on Kidsbury Road, to treat a man with smoke inhalation.
"On arrival crews confirmed that this fire involved a mattress in a bedroom and it was still smouldering," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
"Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet and there was five per cent fire damage and 50 per cent smoke damage to the bedroom.
"The cause of the fire was accidental."
