Nearly 150 new coronavirus cases recorded in Somerset in latest 24 hours
NEARLY 150 positive coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.
The data, which is released by the Government, shows 147 new cases were confirmed in four Somerset districts up to 5pm yesterday (December 31).
Somerset West and Taunton saw the highest increase with 63 new cases, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 2,792.
Sedgemoor also saw a large increase, with 51 positive tests. This brings the total to 2,692.
Mendip saw an increase of 16, bringing the total to 1,655.
And South Somerset had 17 positive tests, bringing the total to 2,662.
