A CAR was damaged in a Somerset lane - prompting Environment Agency, police and highways teams to join firefighters at the scene.
A fire crew from Nether Stowey was called to South Lane in the town at just after 10pm yesterday (January 4) to reports of the vehicle being ablaze.
"Upon arrival crews confirmed the vehicle to be well alight and requested the attendance of an additional fire appliance and water carrier from Bridgwater," said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one compressed air foam jet and one thermal imaging camera."
The Environment Agency, Highways and the police were also informed and requested to attend the incident, the spokesperson added.
