A WORKER who was completing a project for a subcontractor at Hinkley Point C has sadly died.
The worker, who worked for Balfour Beatty, was working on Hinkley C's tunnelling and marine project in Bridgwater.
A Balfour Beatty spokesperson said the cause of the workers' death is uncertain.
“We can confirm that one of our colleagues, working for a subcontractor on our Hinkley Point C tunnelling and marine project, has sadly passed away in hospital," said a Balfour Beatty spokesperson said.
“Balfour Beatty offers its deepest sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues of the individual. As the cause of death is uncertain and referred to the coroner, it would be inappropriate for us to comment further at this time.”
The Bridgwater Mercury has contacted the coroner for comment.
