A WOMAN was rescued after her car crashed into a ditch last night (February 9).
Two fire engines from Bridgwater and a heavy rescue vehicle from Taunton attended the incident on Wills Road, Bridgwater at 10.01pm yesterday.
"A support pump and officer attended also attended after reports from police of a car that had crashed in a ditch with a female trapped," said a spokesperson from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
"On arrival the female was 2m down in the ditch and crews used a triple extension ladder to help the female to exit the ditch."
Avon and Somerset Police also attended the crash.
"The vehicle was also made safe by fire crews before leaving the incident in the hands of the police," the spokesperson added.
