WORKS to build a McDonald's restaurant near Bridgwater will start 'within the coming weeks', McDonald's has confirmed.
The fast-food giant won planning permission in 2018 to build a new restaurant on land near the Dunball Roundabout on A38 Bristol Road, Bridgwater.
The new drive-thru restaurant is just a short drive from junction 23 of the M5 and will contain 46 parking spaces, two disabled spaces, two electric car charging bays and at least two short-term waiting bays. It will also create 'at least 65 jobs.'

"The restaurant will create at least 65 jobs, and we are excited to be progressing with this opportunity and the significant investment it will bring to the local community.
"We hope to open the restaurant at the end of the year."
Bridgwater currently has one McDonald's restaurant based at the Bridgwater Retail Park on The Clink.
