A MEMORIAL bench has been unveiled in a Somerset town honouring the life of a much-loved resident.
The seat, in front of the library in North Petherton, has been installed as a tribute to Kathy Hooper, who tragically passed away last year.
It has been provided by North Petherton Town Council to commemorate her life in the town, and sits close to the pharmacy, where Mrs Hooper worked.
Town Mayor, Cllr Alan Bradford, said “Kathy Hooper was a remarkable and much loved member of our community.
"She made a difference to people’s lives on a daily basis and is greatly missed.”
Michelle Phillips, her daughter, thanked all concerned for the tribute.
“On behalf of Kathy’s family we would really like to thank the North Petherton Town Council for the beautiful bench in her honour," she said.
"Mum had the biggest heart and is missed by so many, she really cared about each and everyone in the community and this bench will be a place where we can go when we want to remember mum.”
