FRUSTRATED motorist heading for a bank holiday break in the South West are getting caught in traffic tailbacks across Somerset and further afield.
Highways England South West reports congestion across the M5 southbound as traffic builds.
As well as people planning an enjoyable bank holiday getaway, thousands of families are looking forward to a half term break.
A Highways England South West spokesperson said: "We are seeing congestion across the M5 southbound.
"Traffic continues to build.
"Please plan your journey, allowing extra time as delays are more than likely."
The good news for visitors to the region is it looks like they'll be able to enjoy some sunshine when they arrive at their destination.
