COOPER and Tanner’s May Antique & Collectables Sale was a huge success.

With a great variety of lots on offer the sale was very well attended during viewing and had lots of online interest.

A hidden gem in the sale, that may have been overlooked by some by it’s curious nature, was a Victorian Corinth No1 porcelain toilet.

Highly decorative with black transfer printed scenes of birds and flowers it was collected from a summer house in Bridgwater.

It sold after much competitive bidding for £1,200 to a buyer in Canada, which just goes to show that you never know what you have packed away that could be worth dusting off to have valued!

As reported recently, a very interesting group of medals belonging to Air Commodore F E Vernon was entered for sale in the May.

The medals received much enquiry and sold against the internet and commission bidders for £1,700 on the hammer.

Other items in the sale also belonging to Air Commodore Vernon were hotly contested, one particularly interesting lot within this group was a collection of RAF items including a rare WWII RAF escape button selling for £400.

Don’t forget that if you have any items that you would like valued Cooper and Tanner offer free valuations and are always happy to come out and visit you at your home or an appointment can be made at our office in Bridgwater.
