THERE were 'multiple casualties' after a first floor flat fire in Weston-super-Mare last night (June 15).
Crew from Weston-super-Mare and Winscombe attended the incident on Longton Grove Road, Weston-super-Mare, at around 10.45pm.
Police and the gas board also attended the fire.
"Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets, one covering jet and one safety jet to extinguish the fire, as well as a thermal image camera to check for hotspots," said a spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue.
"Crews also administered a trauma pack to multiple casualties from the property, before they were handed into the care of ambulance colleagues.
"The cause of the fire is unknown at this time."
