A NORTH Petherton man has admitted flashing and displaying an abusive sign that was racially and religiously aggravated.
Joseph Capaldi, 44, of Baymead Lane, committed the offences in Bridgwater on October 28 last year, Taunton Magistrates' Court was told.
He pleaded guilty to intentionally exposing his genitals to cause alarm, for which he was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register, given a community order with 150 hours unpaid work and handed a £95 victim surcharge.
He also admitted displaying writing, a sign or other visible representation that was threatening or abusive and was racially and religiously motivated. That earned him a £120 fine.
He was fined a further £80 after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.
