A BRIDGWATER park is getting a £50,000 makeover in time for the school holidays.
Work was due to start today (Thursday) on the refurbishment of Eastover Park - also known as Cranleigh Gardens - in ahead of children's summer break.
All the toddler playground equipment is being replaced over the coming month, subject to good weather.
During the project, the toddler playground will be closed, although the junior equipment and skate ramp will be unaffected.
More than 100 people took part in a public consultation about the scheme.
The top results were the following, all of which have been met within the new playground design:
a larger toddler playground;
more litter bins and benches and picnic tables;
a new climbing frame with slide;
toddler swings;
a roundabout;
a trampoline.
