A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a crash yesterday evening (July 13).
Fire crews from Glastonbury and Street were called to Glastonbury at around 5.10pm after reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Both vehicles had people inside, a spokesperson from the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said.
"One female was suffering from neck and back pain following the side impact collision," they said.
"One male had no injuries but was awaiting assessment by paramedics.
"Crews got to work stabilising both vehicles. A decision was made to remove the roof and side of the vehicle in order to safely extricate the female casualty.
"Crews got to work with hydraulic rescue equipment.
"The male casualty was released, and duty of care was left with the police.
"The female casualty was taken to hospital via ambulance."
