FIRE crews battled to prevent a vehicle fire spreading to a barn.
Firefighters from Bridgwater and Burnham-on-Sea were called to the incident, in North Petherton, at around 10.40pm.
Reports suggested a 'large truck' was on fire, a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said, which was in danger of spreading to a barn.
"On arrival, crews confirmed this to be a tractor on fire, adjacent to a barn and crews set to work extinguishing the fire using one hose reel jet, one concentrated foam jet and four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus," they said.
"The vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire but crews were able to safely protect the barn building."
The cause of the fire was accidental, they added.
