WITH the current heatwave predicted to last until the end of tomorrow (Thursday), Somerset has been put on rain alert for the weekend.
The Met Office has issued a yellow rain warning for Saturday and Sunday.
That means heavy rain and thundery showers may lead to flooding and transport disruption in some places.
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded.
There could be difficult driving conditions due to spray and flooding.
And there is a small risk of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.
