'IT'S too hot!'
How many times have we heard that this week, in typical British style?
But just how hot has it been in Somerset as the heatwave continues?
Here's a guide to the highest temperatures recorded across the county yesterday (July 21):
Taunton/Wellington - 29C (measured at Dunkeswell Aerodrome, Devon)
Minehead/Exmoor - 28C (measured at Liscombe, Somerset)
Wells/Glastonbury - 30C (measured at Yeovilton, Somerset)
Bath - 29C (measured at Almondsbury, South Gloucestershire)
Exeter - 30C (measured at Exeter Airport, Devon)
Meanwhile today (Thursday), temperatures are set to stay high, with the Met Office predicting the Mercury could hit 31C.
However, there could also be 'isolated showers'.
"Fine, sunny conditions continue, with fairly clear skies for most," a forecaster said.
"Some cloud bubbling up during the afternoon with the odd isolated shower possible, becoming rather breezy in exposed areas."
Any showers would be shortlived though, they added.
"Tonight, any showers quick to die out as the skies clear for a fine evening," they added.
"Remaining very warm overnight, a tropical night likely for western parts."
Minimum temperatures would be 15C.
