A TAUNTON woman caught driving while disqualified has been given a further one-year ban.
Colette Josephine Welch, 34, of Cheddon Road, was spotted by police in her Vauxhall Zafira on the A38 at Wellington on January 7.
Welch pleaded guilty to the offence when she appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Court.
As well as the year-long ban, she was fined £200 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
JAKE Morrice Adey, 34, of Long Stone Avenue, Bridgwater, was found guilty of assault by beating.
He received a community order and must carry out 60 hours unpaid work within the next year.
Adey, who had denied the charge, was also given a restraining order and told to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £350 costs
At the same hearing, Adey admitted damaging a mobile phone, for which the same community order was imposed.
