CREWS tackled a van fire in a Somerset town yesterday evening (July 4).
The incident, in Minehead, happened around 9pm.
Two fire engines from Minehead attended, and the fire was out around 10.30pm.
The van was 80% destroyed by fire.
"Upon arrival crews confirmed that the van was well alight, getting to work swiftly with two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
"Once the fire was out crews used small tools to gain access to the van to carry out a search to ensure no persons were in the van.
"Crews reported that no persons were found in the van, confirming that all persons were accounted for."
Fire crews also used a thermal imaging camera and lighting to help with the incident.
