FIREFIGHTERS rescued a bullock that was stuck in a water-filled ditch 'for some time'.
A crew from Bridgwater was called to help a farmer at Greylake Bridge, on the King Sedgemoor Drain near Westonzoyland, at around 1.30pm yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
A spokesperson for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Personnel worked alongside the farmer and were eventually able to get a head restraint on the animal, thus allowing them to walk it to safety and out of the water."
The bullock was unharmed and left in the care of the farmer.
