AN event held near Bridgwater this month is set to take visitors back in time to World War One.
The 2021 Westcountry WARAG is taking place on Middlezoy Aerodrome at Westonzoyland Airfield on Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August 29.
"Building on the success of WARAG 2018 & 2019 and following the fallow year of 2020 we are returning with our unique celebration of life on the former airfield at Westonzoyland during its operational era," said a spokesperson for the event.
"It draws contributors from a wide area and groups of re-enactors illustrating the war years both at home and in the front line - English, American and the German enemy.
"To visitors it seems like a series of film sets. Indeed - many locals - when they see all the various vehicles roll by think there is a film being made.
"Wheelers Transport offered to transport a rare wartime German half-track to the event too.
"This has been supplied by History in the Making from Southampton who have furnished several feature films."
During the event, there will be military armour and vehicles on display, an opportunity to learn about the airfields history with illustrated talks and a marquee exhibition, wartime singers, as well as a bar with refreshments and food wagons.
Tickets for the WARAG weekend cost £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
On both days, the event runs from 10am until 5pm.
