VISITORS to a Somerset fete raised much-needed funds for a hospice charity.
The South West arm of supermarket giant Tesco has teamed up with The Children's Hospice Southwest to try and raise as much money as possible by April.
And as part of the fundraising effort, the team at the North Petherton Tesco Express held a Fete.
The event was opened by the Mayor of North Petherton and was aimed at all ages, with craft stalls and independent traders, lots of games run by the Tesco team and exciting things for the kids to do.
"Spiderman was there to meet and greet, the local PCSO attended with a police car, which the kids could set of the sirens and have pictures.
"There was also a bouncy castle and outside you could soak a member of the Tesco team with sponges and play the penalty shoot out.
"The small hall was turned into a cafe where you good get hot pork and apple rolls, hot dogs and a variety of soft drinks.
"The event was well attended and fun was had by all."
Around £1,100 was raised on the day.
