A MYSTERY smell of petrol was behind police and fire crews being called to a Somerset property last night (September 2).
At around 8pm, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service environmental protection unit from Taunton was mobilised to a domestic dwelling in Glastonbury 'due to a concerning smell of petrol coming from the property'.
A spokesperson said: "Crews entered in full fire kit using a photo ionisation detector, crews ventilated the property to reduce petrol fume to a safe level."
The duty of care was left with the police, they added.
