A CAR left the road and ended up upside down on a petrol station forecourt last night (September 14).
Firefighters from Taunton and Bridgwater attended the incident on the A38 at Dunball to help with a person trapped inside the vehicle.
Police also attended the collision, which happened around 11pm.
The casualty was taken to hospital via air ambulance.
"Firefighters liaised with paramedics to create a rescue plan," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
"For safety electrics were isolated to the jet wash area and two sets of hydraulic rescue equipment were used to extricate the casualty.
"Firefighters also made the vehicle safe, stemming a fuel leak using small tools and environment agency supplied equipment."
