POLICE are investigating after vandals targeted fencing surrounding a new school in Bridgwater.
Work has only just been completed on the new £18m Polden Bower School, in Bower Lane, which is providing much-needed places for young people with special educational needs.
Now, vandals have targeted the site - and police are keen to trace those responsible.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We're investigating after graffiti tags were daubed onto fencing bordering a special educational needs school near Bower Lane, Bridgwater, between September 4 and 5.
"The tags 'MACK' 'KACE' 'TMC' and 'YLD 2DAS' were used.
"If you know who was responsible, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5221205525."
The new school is set to open soon after work was finished on the multi million-pound project.
