ELECTRICAL power lines caught fire at a home between Taunton and Bridgwater.
At around 7.45pm last night (September 24), three fire crews - one from Bridgwater and two from Taunton - were sent to a property in Durston to deal with the incident.
"Once on scene, crews confirmed the electrical cables to be on fire and requested Western Power to attend to isolate the mains supply," said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"Crews investigated the property thoroughly externally and internally and were happy there was no fire spread affecting the building itself.
"Once Western Power were in attendance they isolated the mains supply allowing our crews to extinguish the fire using one hose reel jet.
"Fortunately there was no damage to the property and duty of care was left with Western Power."
The cause was determined as accidental, they added.
