MORE than £500 was raised for Prostate Cancer support at an annual Ploughing Match.
On September 18, 188 ploughmen competed in the event, which involved ploughing the land at Chedzoy.
The land was kindly provided by the Gillard family.
Visitors enjoyed a look at tractors throughout the ages, as well as the ploughing match.
Richard Curtis, president of Bridgwater Ploughing Match, nominated Prostate Cancer support as his chosen charity for the event.
More than £500 was raised and donated to the charity.
Tim Lewis, treasurer for the Somerset Prostate Support Group, explained how prostate cancer affects many men and the donation will be put to good use in promoting screening for this disease.
