A NEW restaurant and drive-thru is coming to Weston-super-Mare.
Tim Hortons®, a Canadian restaurant brand, will be opening at The Poaches Pocket Weston Links later this year.
Set to create up to 50 jobs in the town, the new restaurant will offer seating for up to 100 guests inside, and 12 guests outside.
Tim Hortons is known for its coffee, donuts and Canadian delights.
Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer of Tim Hortons® franchise in the U.K said the South West is a 'new territory' for the brand.
“We are really looking forward to bringing the best of the brand to even more people across the West Country following the announcement of plans to open a site in Gloucester earlier this year," he said.
“The Weston-super-Mare drive-thru is in a fantastic, commutable location and we are expecting a lot of interest from the surrounding areas such as Bristol and Bath.
"We are proud to be investing in the local community and know that there is a wealth of talent, so we will be looking to recruit a variety of full and part-time roles very soon.
"Not only that, but we encourage local fans of Tim Hortons to keep an eye out for more news as we develop our plans for a big opening.”
The restaurant will be open from 6am until midnight, seven days a week.
The menu will feature best-selling items, including Timbits®, Iced Capps, Freshly Baked Donuts and Tims® Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
The eateries also include the brand’s newly launched menu which includes beef burgers and halal friendly hot dogs, as well as lattice fries as a new side.
The Timmies Minis® range has also been given a refresh to include more familiar favourites for kids.
Tim Hortons also has plans to open in Plymouth, which will be the first restaurant in Devon.
The announcement also forms part of the brand’s plan to create more than 2,000 jobs across the country, making sure to bring the restaurants to every major town and city by 2022.
An opening date for the Weston-super-Mare or Plymouth restaurant has not yet been confirmed.
